WFMW: Our Anniversary Tradition

Kenneth and I were married on December 19, 1998, which obviously is right in the middle of the Christmas season. It took us severl years to figure out a way that we would commemorate this special time of year for us. Four years ago we came up with the idea of getting an ornament that would mean something to us. Initially we wanted to purchase them on our anniversary, but that was really hard. We felt pressured to find something that meant something to us. So the last two years we look just about everywhere starting the beginning of December. Above are some of the ornaments that mean something to us.
The dancing bride and groom were actually the topper on our wedding cake!
The Mr. and Mrs. Claus was the first ornament purchased for this tradition.
The couple of birds were year number two .
The third year is not pictured because it was not photographing well, but it's bride and groom smore! So cute!
This years ornament will be posted on Christmas Eve, so be sure to check back!

I love meaningful ornaments. The color-coordinated super-fancy trees are beautiful too, but I like a tree that tells a story. It sounds like yours tells a lovely story. (And I might copy this great idea -- even though we were married in June!)
