Dawson turned 10

It is hard to believe that my little man, my first born is ten years old. He has been in this world a whole decade. I think back on the time that has passed and remember him as this sweet chubby blond baby smiling and giggling. Sleeping endless hours and so smart. I remember how young I was, too young probably. But the things that this guy has taught me, taught us. He is kind and compassionate, loves his sisters. He is so patient with them even when they are driving me mad!
He is so appreciative of everything he has. He has a love of books, Bionacles, and Bakugan's. The three B's! Dawson is the type of child that when he likes something he sticks with it. He doesn't flit all over the place. I remember his first love being Toy Story. He loved Woody, Woody went everywhere with him. Then he moved on to Thomas the Train, Power Rangers, and Pokemon. He has always had a love of stuffed animals. When he was eight he loved care bears. I remember him coming home one day because some of his buddies thought it was weird that he loved Care Bears. Dawson didn't care what they thought, he loved them and that was that. I will tell you a little secret though, he carries a blue beanie baby rabbit he named Diamond in his backback to this very day. I think he has been carrying him around for two years!

The theme of his birthday party this coming Saturday is Gremlins. Gremlins are his new obsession. He loves the movie! So his buddies are coming over on saturday to have a Gremlins marathon. What he doesn't know is I actually purchased the movies for him (the wonders of the internet). I am hoping that they get here in time, otherwise to the video store I will go.

Happy Birthday to Dawson! My little people are just 22 months and 6 months..but I hear it flies by SO fast!

I came across your blog from The Mother Letters Project blog. I know this is silly...but my daughter is in the Leelou Blogs cute baby photo contest and I am trying to spread the word for people to vote for her!! I need HUNDREDS of votes for her to even come close to catching up to the front-runners. I have been trying to figure out where to find hundreds of people, and I didn't think it was approriate to ask Seth to post something so silly on The Mother Letters Blog (obviously), but I figured maybe all the people who helped with the project would be willing to go give my little Makenzie from AZ a vote : ) If not, that's ok too. I am just trying to get creative and reach more people! If you'd like to help me by voting for Makenzie, please go to http://www.leeloublogs.blogspot.com/ and spread the word for others to vote as well : )

EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY THOUGH...I am also recruiting prayer warriors for a tiny little miracle baby named Kayleigh Freeman, maybe you've heard of her and are already praying for her. It was through her blog that I heard about the contest in the first place. Even if you don't take the time to vote for Makenzie, please take a minute to visit HER website: http://www.kayleighannefreeman.blogspot.com/ and say a prayer for this sweet girl!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME!!!

Sincerely,
Daniele Brown

PS- THE MOTHER LETTERS PROJECT is in NO WAY associated with this request other than the fact that I found your blog there!!
